Tawakkal Fish Hatchery & Farm was established in 1995, at Muzaffar Garh, Punjab, Pakistan, to produce high quality fish. Since then, the company has grown rapidly to become one of Pakistan’s top producers and marketers of fresh water farmed fish. Our vision and commitment to produce healthy and hygienically safe fish and supplying it in the market through cool chain has contributed to the company’s position at the forefront of the Pakistan aquaculture industry.

Muzaffargarh District’s plain areas, with their combination of excellent soil texture, suitable climate and abundant fresh water source, create perfect conditions for quality aquaculture products. Tawakkal Fish Farm:

• Established in 1995. Produces about 250000 kg high quality hygienically safe fish (Rohu, Thela, Tilapia, Silver carp, Grass Carp)

Tawakkal Carp Hatchery:

• Established in 2000, produces healthy fish seed of Indian Major Carps, Silver & Grass Carps. Area about 25 acres, Yearly production of approximately 15 million fish fry and fish seed (1–2-inch size) about 10 million approximately

Tawakkal Tilapia Hatchery:

• Organization established first Tilapia Hatchery in Pakistan in Private Sector in 2013 after getting training from AIT, Thailand
• Supplying quality mono-sex tilapia seed to farmers at affordable price since 2013

Tawakkal Pangasius Hatchery:

• Organization established first Pangasius Hatchery in Pakistan in Private Sector in 2022 after getting training from AIT, Thailand. Tawakkal Hatchery, established as a prominent name in aquaculture, has been successfully operating a Pangasius hatchery since 2022. With a strong focus on quality production and sustainable practices, the hatchery has rapidly gained expertise in breeding and raising Pangasius fish, a highly sought-after species in aquaculture due to its fast growth, resilience, and market demand.

Mr. Minh Pangasius consultant from Vietnam has joined Tawakkal Hatchery in 2022–2023. He also trained the Tawakkal Hatchery staff and other farmers regarding fish seed production and farming. Tawakkal Hatchery is committed to building capacity within the aquaculture sector by sharing its expertise through training programs for farmers and hatchery professionals.

Tawakkal Shrimp Farm:

• In 2016, a pilot Shrimp Farming project with Fisheries Development Board was started. Next three years, from 2017 to 2019, successful shrimp farming was done in 50 acres. Then Project was closed in 2020 as shrimp seed could not be imported due to COVID-19. This year (2025), company is planning to start shrimp farming again in 100+ acres.

Tawakkal Shrimp Hatchery:

• Company started shrimp hatchery in Muzaffargarh in 2019. Due to COVID-19, shrimp hatchery was closed. Company is planning to restart Shrimp Hatchery this year (2025)

Shrimp & Fish Feed Unit:

• Company has started Joint Venture with AB Feeds, Muzaffargarh to produce high quality extruded pellet fish and shrimp feed. Two state of the art American Extruder Machines (6 tons capacity) have been installed.

Fish Processing and Marketing:

• Organization has established first ISO & Halal certified fish processing unit in South Punjab at Muzaffargarh.
• Produced Pangasius fish and marketed its locally processed fillet in the market in January 2025 on trial basis.
• We are the supplier of fresh water farmed fish to Metro Cash & Carry since 2007.

Collaboration in Research and Development:

• Organization is collaborating in research and development activities with many Government and Non-Government Organizations like Fisheries Development Board, UVAS, B Z University, Quaid e Azam University, MNS Agriculture University, Multan
• Organization facilitates in research work of Ph D and M. Phil students of different universities.
• In 2011 organization conducted successful Tilapia Farming Trials in collaboration with FDB and American Soyabean Association.
• In 2012 organization conducted successful Pellet Feed Trials in collaboration with American Soyabean Association.
• In 2016 company conducted successful Shrimp Farming Trials in collaboration with FDB.
• Company conducted a number of Farmers Field Days, and seminars in collaboration with ASA to promote aquaculture in Pakistan.
